Oh, Rochester

18 notes

Non-digital movie projector.
I worked in a movie theatre for years, and sometimes the film would get caught tight around the spool in the middle. It’s called a “brain wrap,” and when it happens you have to manually turn the tray around in the opposite direction until it rights itself. Sometimes, if it’s bad enough, you have to turn the movie off to do it. It’s the worst, especially when you have a theatre filled with people mad that their “Stepmom” experience was interrupted.
